CIFC professionals possess leveraged finance, principal investing, loan trading, restructuring, workout, legal and asset management experience, and prior to joining CIFC worked at, among other institutions, JP Morgan Chase (and its predecessor institutions Chase Manhattan Bank and Chemical Bank), GoldenTree Asset Management and Caxton Associates and The Blackstone Group in various credit, investment, and firm management capacities.

Founded in 2005, CIFC is an SEC-registered investment adviser and is headquartered in New York City. Our primary shareholders include Charlesbank Capital, Columbus Nova, GE Capital, CIFC management as well as public shareholders. CIFC conducts asset management activities through its principal subsidiary, CIFC Asset Management LLC, in addition to Deerfield Capital Management LLC, CypressTree Investment Management, LLC and Columbus Nova Credit Investments Management LLC. CIFC Asset Management, Deerfield Capital Management, and CypressTree Investment Management are SEC-registered investment advisers. CIFC was formed by the merger of Commercial Industrial Finance Corp. and Deerfield Capital Corp. on April 13, 2011.
